PASS RETREAT WEEKEND

maan...i had so much fun. that was my first retreat ever and it was hella empowering and enlightening...foooorREAL! there were some tears and even a little glich in the weekend but it was ALL GOOD SHIT! i got to see the "deeper" and goofier sides of people. i mean..yea we all chill and whatever, but hearing their thoughts and seeing their emotional sides is totally different. i learned so much about everyone and myself. PASS really means a lot to the staffers...there's soo much passion into what we do for the pilipino communtiy. i feel soo honored to be apart of it.
FRIDAY: we waited hella long for the vans to come but it was all good cause we made waiting fun. i got to ride in the 15 passenger van. it's hella bumpy and dizzy. the ride was ok, about an hour and 30 minutes. i was pretty tired and slept most of the way i guess. we finally got to the house in BODEGA BAY in SANTA CRUZ around 10 or 11. the house was pretty big and nicely decorated. there were 5 bedrooms but somehow we got stuck on the couch. it was only meant for 12 people but we had about 30. haha..so yea..that night we did some self identity workshops then chilled in the kitchen til hella late just freaking ourselves out telling ghost stories and turning off the lights.
SATURDAY: i got up hella early for the shower cause i didnt want to wait. we started doing a few team building workshops in the house then in the afternoon we walked over to the beach. the weather was perfect. we did more team workshops and PASS discussions. thats when we all kinda got emotional. but the day was hella cool and FUN! norwin threw me and sherlyn in the water so we just got wet since our pants were already soaked. everyone was just having a good time. we watched the sun set. then when we got back to the house i helped cooked dinner since i was assigned for that meal. maan that was hella tiring. it was the hardest meal to prepare but it was fun and hella good! then more "feel good" workshops. we ended the night just chillen with some "social drinks"..a couple of people went in the hot tub..then somehow we all got into a discussion of "first impressions." some people said i was intimindating, others said i was shy and quiet, and bayani said i had a hidden wild side. haha..weird. stayed up hella late again ; /
SUNDAY: went around SANTA CRUZ BOARDWALK with bayani and brian and whoever could stay. we rode some rides and ate. it was really cool casue it felt like those boardwalks like on tv. then we headed to UC SANTA CRUZ it's pretty "dull" campus...so quiet but i guess cause its so far away from everything. its really forresty and all the buildings are soo far from each other. you seriously need a car to get around cause the campus is so broad. it was funny casue we were driving through campus and saw a group of filipinos so we stopped to say whats up. haha...pretty random. they were practicing for PCN. then we headed back home. and freakin bayani and the rest tried to put shaving cream in our hands when me and madel were sleeping. pretty embarrasing pictures. but it was funny. ok...the end of my FULFILLING WEEKEND we got back around 5 and im HELLA TIRED! i need to sleep.
