here goes my last week of summer school. peace out ucsd! though i have to admit i did meet one of the best teachers in college...EVER. i dont think ive ever been inspired by one of my teachers, but this guy does it. "Discomfort is a form of learning." also...who would have known that i liked ethnic studies? i love the way it forces you to form opinions, to think for yourself, to feel "ok" even when your answer is wrong because you thought of it yourself....something science doesnt allow you to do. i'm not hating on science, but it does feel refreshing to think in another light.
ahhh...i canNOT wait to be on my own and making my own money. i canNOT wait til i get that masters in nursing and be named Jennifer Alberto Obaña, NP. because no matter what, i will get there...and thats a promise.
oh yea, and i really want a dog.

my fulfilling weekend...
i love it when berk folks come to visit...always good times. had some happy hour action in downtown and then threw ourselves a bonfire on friday night. things got heated around the fire...muahahha. good friends having good convos with cups of sangria all around...one of the most chill nights ive had in awhile. saturday was madel's grad party where once again the berkeley kids handled the beer situation. hey guys, i think we're addicted to kings cup.
the weather lately has been one sticky situation though. i love being out with no jacket, but HATE the humidity. yuck.
this was probably one of the last events to look forward to this summer...besides moving back up to berkeley. and lately ive been thinking a lot about how different life is going to be without some of the best people i know....gets me all sad and shit :(
on one last note....myspace is having a power outage. wtf am i suppose to do now?!

the fruits of procrastination are BITTER!
this week sucks assssssssssssss...stank ass too. i have a midterm tomorrow and a 5 page paper due thursday of which i have NOT started on :(
lesson learned: im sitting in class half listening and half thinking about how much crap i have to do when i get home. the teacher is lecturing..yada yada yada...and poses a question to the class. in response, i shake my head "yes" to act like im listening and actually give a fck at the moment. he sees my nod, then points at me and asks, "why do you think so?" as im giving my (wrong) bullshit, yet intelligent sounding answer, im thinking the whole time in my head, "FUUUUUUUUUCK!" hahah...im never EVER going to nod my head in class EVER again. did i mention i was in the front row? :(
current addiction: starbucks java chip frap with no whip and coffee flavored frap in the bottle...ive become a regular at the ucsd sunshine store every morning at 11am.
looking forward to: seeing all my berk folks on saturday :)

the days go by slow, but the weeks go by fast
make any sense? well thats how life feels right now. all i do is drive to school, eat, and read every dang day. suuuuuuuuuuuucks.
so ucsd has made me appreciate berkeley a lot more...the small, close-knit campus, the beautiful architecture and history, the many places to eat...i cant believe im saying this, but i kinda love berkeley. (hopefully that sticks for awhile)
this past saturday was chris' grad party where the "party-girl-jenn express" was in full running. i swear all we did was laugh non-stop...soo much laughing going on that we were too tired to hit the bars after. damn old-folks :(
hmm...im lazy now. bye.

REWIND...
heh, i wish. did we just have a vacation in berkeley? sure doesnt feel like it. didnt do anything too extravagent, but it was mucho fun nonetheless just chillen and rotting while getting some shit done. some events and things i learned....
-chris is dangerously addicted to coffee.
-sherlyn seriously needs a hearing aid.
-there are A LOT of unanswered questions out there....ie. why is the 405 called the san diego freeway when it doesnt even touch san diego?
-sitting around having a beer with friends and talking about 'what youre doing now' makes you feel old.
-tuesday nights at henrys are always fun. (mari was a major heartbreaker that night)
-babysitting sherlyn is hard work. hahah.
-D&A cafe in chinatown is the chinese version of lucky chances
-LA traffic sucks
-there are still a FEW good ppl out there...such as the guy who told us that chris's gas tank cover was dangling on the side of the truck. haha
-found an apt...telegraph and parker. this should be interesting being that ive been a spoiled bitch living in berkeley for the past 4 years.
lastly...some things you will just never understand no matter how hard you try. kinda sucks.
